Sheralee approached us about making a wrought iron aviary for her husband’s birthday – a surprise gift! She had to keep to a budget so we designed something which met the specifications of:

This is what she she had to say about her experience of working with Farmweld:
” I never had any hesitation in buying from Farmweld, because the service is great and incredibly personal. It’s also easier for me because I can visit the workshop in person and discuss the design/s I have in mind, but even so, the communication and contact that comes from Andrew and Tricia during a project leaves you in no doubt that it’s in good hands.
The ultimate decision to buy came down to availability – I wanted something quite unique and specific, which meant it had to be custom made. I knew that Tricia had the design eye and Andrew the manufacturing skill, so it seemed a logical choice. Working within a budget is always a challenge, but the end result is perfect! Looks fantastic, quality workmanship, personal service, and within budget! Can’t ask for more than that.
There are many benefits from buying local – generating money that stays in our community cannot be measured. But ultimately there is a enormous sense of satisfaction knowing that there will never be another one like it, that it’s personal and unique – designed and crafted by hand.
I would recommend your products to anyone interested in beautiful wrought iron work, or indeed metal fabrication in general. Andrew’s “can do” attitude means if you can imagine it, he will find a way to make it. The end result is undoubtably more expensive than mass-produced imported products, but the quality is incomparable- which means that each Farmweld piece is still going to look fantastic in twenty years, when the imported rubbish has long since given up. If I had unlimited funds I would purchase one of everything from the range, and would still be commissioning specific pieces! So many ideas…….not enough money. (*sigh*)”
